“White Paper” of the First Stage Barcelona–Tetouan in March of the Med25belespoir Project
Br. Fausto from the RFMed Committee had the gift of participating, as a companion to the group of 20 young people from more than 14 nationalities, in the first stage of this beautiful initiative with youth aged between twenty and thirty-five years, even though he was twice their age.
We shared fifteen days aboard the schooner Belespoir, where I was able to experience that encounter amid cultural and religious diversity is possible; that there are young people seriously committed to the pursuit of peace and tolerance to put an end to wars and conflicts. During all that time and in such a confined space, we all experienced that it is not impossible to open up to others, that we must and can build universal fraternity in the diversity of the five shores of the Mediterranean.
As a result of this encounter and shared experience, I present to you the “White Paper” produced in this first stage, which contains the joint reflection of the group work carried out.
